MIKE GOLIC

Mike Golic is co-host of "Mike and
Mike in the Morning" on ESPN 1260. He also serves as an analyst for ESPN
and ESPN2's NFL studio programming, as well as for the networks' college
football game coverage.
Golic joined ESPN in 1995 as an NFL reporter/analyst for Sunday NFL
Countdown. Since then he has worked as the color commentator for the Arena
Football League (1996-98) and the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars pre-season
games (1995-98). In 1998, Golic began serving as college football analyst
for ESPN and ABC, and was an original analyst for NFL 2Night, the
five-night-per-week news and information program on ESPN2.
Golic is a nine-year NFL veteran, playing defensive tackle for the Houston
Oilers, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. During his seven years in
Philadelphia, he began his television career with a weekly segment on the
Randall Cunningham Show. He received a Mid-Atlantic Region Emmy Award for
his feature "Golic's Got It."
Golic, born Dec. 12, 1962, is a 1985 graduate of the University of Notre
Dame where he served as captain of the football team during his senior
season. He also wrestled for the Irish.
He is married with three children. |

Mike Greenberg joined ESPN in
September 1996 as an anchor for ESPNEWS, ESPN's 24-hour sports news network,
which launched in November of that year. He was named co-host of ESPN
Radio's morning show on December 30, 1999, and continues his anchor role for
ESPN's SportsCenter.
Prior to joining ESPN, Greenberg had worked as a sports anchor/reporter for
the regional cable news network CLTV in Chicago, Ill., since April 1995.
While there, he covered all local sports teams for the 24-hour cable news
network, anchored sportscasts and hosted SportsPage, a one-hour Sunday night
program featuring live guests and viewer calls.
In addition, Greenberg had worked for Chicago's WSCR-Radio (1992-96) serving
as a reporter (covering events including the World Series, Super Bowl, etc.)
and talk show host.
From 1994-95, Greenberg worked as a reporter for SportsChannel Chicago. He
also worked as a syndicated sports columnist for the California-based Copley
News Service, writing a weekly column (1993-95). Previously Greenberg worked
for Chicago's WMAQ-Radio as sports anchor/reporter from 1989-92.
Born August 6, 1967, Greenberg is a 1989 graduate of Northwestern
University's Medill School of Journalism. The New York City native is
married with one daughter. |
JP HEATH

JP Heath has been the News/Sports Director at Yates
Broadcasting since July 2002. He graduated from Texas A&M – Commerce
in 2000 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Radio-Television.
Heath started his broadcasting career in
1998 at KETR-FM, helping with the A&M – Commerce football broadcasts
in the studio and as a sideline reporter. The 1999 season was one
Heath will always remember because during his first season in the
booth as color commentator his Commerce Tigers won the 3A-II
Championship. The play-by-play team was awarded by the Texas
Associated Press Broadcasters with a 1st place award.
From December 1998 – May 1999 JP interned
at WBAP 820 AM, the “Sports leader of the Southwest.” He gathered
sound bites at Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers games in addition to
producing some Friday night talk shows.
In 2000 Heath jumped into the booth on the
A&M – Commerce football and basketball broadcasts, and the team again
was awarded by the TAPB with another 1st Place Award for
play-by-play.
Heath ended his radio stint in Commerce by
garnering the 2000 “Radio Student of the Year” award from the faculty
and students at A&M – Commerce.
In addition to waiting tables after
college graduation, Heath handled the play-by-play duties for the
Forney Jackrabbits in 2000-01. In 2000 the Jackrabbits lost in the
3A-II state championship game to LaGrange, and the following year were
ranked as the #1 team in 3A the whole season, but lost to #2 Everman
in the second round of the playoffs.
It is a unique story how JP landed in
Lufkin-Nacogdoches. He interviewed
for a job in Longview and was referred to
Heath has been the only full time sports
personality in Deep East Texas while working at Yates Broadcasting. On
March 15th Heath took over as Program Director for ESPN
1260. He serves as host of “The Porch”, a talk show from 4-6 pm
Monday-Friday.
In 2005 "The Porch" was nominated by the
Houston Press Club for "Best Talk Show" in the Greater Houston area.
His broadcasting duties have included
Lufkin Panthers and Diboll Lumberjacks football, Lufkin and Angelina
College basketball, and Lufkin, Angelina College, and Hudson baseball.
JP also does sideline duty on the SFA football games on their radio
network.
On June 10, 2006, JP married Lisa Capps of
Diboll. No surprise that they met through a radio remote he did some
three-plus years earlier.

Dan Patrick

Dan Patrick has become widely recognized for his poignant interviews
and dry wit in his role as an ESPN anchor/reporter, primarily on
ESPN's 10 p.m. SportsCenter. He also reports from major events such as
the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals and Final Four, and has
called play-by-play for select NCAA basketball telecasts since joining
ESPN in March 1989.
Patrick writes for ESPN The Magazine. He
authors "Outtakes," the magazine's most popular page featuring a
no-holds-barred, question-and-answer interview with the sports world's
most interesting figures. In May 2000, Patrick released a book
entitled "Outtakes," published by Hyperion, based on the magazine
column. Patrick served as the primary host of ESPN SportsCentury, the
network's 30-minute, weekly series profiling the 50 greatest North
American athletes of the 20th century.
Additionally, he serves as host of The Dan
Patrick Radio Show weekdays from 12-3 p.m. on ESPN Radio, which is
carried by more than 600 affiliates nationwide. He also has his own
Web page linked off of ESPN.com (espn.go.com/danpatrick) which serves
as a vehicle for his musings on the sports world.
In January 2000, Patrick was named the
National Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and
Sportswriters Association (NSSA), making him just the second cable
commentator to receive the honor.
Patrick transcended the sports world when
he served as guest host of ABC's Good Morning America, Dec. 30-31,
1996, and Jan. 1, 1997. In 1998 he received a Sports Emmy Award in the
Studio Host category.
Patrick's reports feature astute
knowledge, a dry sense of humor and his unique perspective as well as
a style which provides a "comfort zone" for his co-host. He received a
CableACE Award in 1997 for his work on SportsCenter.
Some of Patrick's finer moments have
appeared on SportsCenter's Sunday Conversation, ESPN's in-depth
interview segment, where he has brought out the best in many of
sports' premier personalities -- including Michael Jordan, Mark
McGwire, Barry Sanders, Wayne Gretzky, Larry Bird, Reggie Jackson and
Bill Murray.
Prior to working with ESPN, Patrick was a
sports anchor/reporter for CNN (1983-89), where his assignments
included the World Series, NBA Finals and Winter Olympics. In 1997, he
received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Dayton
in Ohio.

COLIN COWHERD
THE HERD

Colin Cowherd joined ESPN Radio March 29 with the debut of The
Herd,which airs 9 a.m.-12 p.m. weekdays. The Herd features
topical commentary on the day’s most important sports news,
perspective on the top stories, interviews with the biggest
newsmakers, and entertaining daily segments including “Spanning the
Globe” and “Rants of the Day.”
The Herd replaced the Tony Kornheiser Show, whose host stepped down
from the program to concentrate on his other ESPN initiatives.
"We work our tails off and take sports
seriously, but can laugh at ourselves too,” Cowherd says. “The Herd
has a different sound and vibe, and we hope fans enjoy it. My goal has
always been to produce the best show possible, and ESPN’s commitment
and resources make this is a perfect fit."
Cowherd joined ESPN Radio from KFXX 910-AM
“The Fan” in Portland, Ore. where he hosted the popular three-hour
morning-drive program The Herd. He also anchored weeknight sports and
“Sports Sunday” for KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8.
Cowherd’s experience includes serving as
sports anchor at Tampa’s WTVT-TV, where he received a local Sports
Emmy for Buc Sunday, and as sports director at KVBC-TV in Las Vegas,
where he was a multiple recipient of Nevada’s Sportscaster-of-the-Year
award. He began his career as play-by-play voice for the Pacific Coast
League’s Las Vegas Stars. |

Jason Smith
AllNight

Jason Smith joined ESPN Radio in September 2005 as host of ESPN
Radio’s AllNight (12-5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday), with his show
originating from the 710 ESPN Radio studios in Los Angeles.
Smith had served ESPN Radio as fill-in host
of AllNight and the Saturday and Sunday GameDay shows, and guest
hosted ESPN Radio’s weekday The Herd, Dan Patrick Show, SportsBash and
GameNight programs.
Most recently, Smith also hosted afternoon
timeslots for 710 ESPN Radio, as well as the station’s pre and
post-game shows for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Angels of
Anaheim, USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins.
Smith actually began his post-graduate
career in TV production for ESPN’s SportsCenter (1993-1996), winning a
Sports Emmy for his role.Smith remained in television upon moving to
the west coast (1996-2000), producing for Fox Sports Net and KABC-TV.
In 2000 he moved into radio at XTRA Sports 1150-AM in Los Angeles,
then as host at Fox Sports Radio, first in late night and then
afternoon drive.

Doug Gottlieb

Doug Gottlieb joined ESPN in September 2003 as co-host of ESPN Radio’s
GameNight, which is carried by more than 300 affiliates nationwide
Monday-Friday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
Prior to joining ESPN, Gottlieb co-hosted
a midday sports-talk show at ESPN Radio affiliate WWLS 640-AM “The
Sports Animal” in Oklahoma, City. Additionally, he has done and will
continue to provide courtside analysis on select ESPN and ESPN2
college basketball games.
Prior to embarking on a sports radio
career, Gottlieb played point guard for Eddie Sutton and the Oklahoma
State Cowboys, leading the nation in assists in 1999, and finishing
second in 2000. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in marketing
holding every assist record at OSU and in the Big 12 conference.
After graduating, Gottlieb played
professionally internationally, in France, Russia and Israel, as well
as domestically in the USBL, CBA, ABA, and the Los Angeles Lakers
summer team in 2001. Gottlieb has won a NEBL championship as well as a
Russian Basketball Federation Championship. |
